Plans for the Future

There are a number of things I'd like to achieve, some more attainable than others, so I'll sort them based on whether I can actually do them. I'll update as I think of more, and hopefully get to do some of them!

This is intended as a way for me to visualize the future. Hopefully it'll be encouraging and serve as a reminder that I might be able to make the slightest difference later down the road.

So, here's the "I-wish-I-could-do-this-but-it's-probably-impossible" list:

•Become Secretary-General of the United Nations

•Become High Commissioner for Human Rights for the UN

•End crimes against women such as assault, domestic violence, and FGM/C

•Dismantle rape culture

•End hunger globally

•Install socialism in the United States in a permanent, helpful way

•Achieve world peace

•Get full recognition of LGBT+ rights all around the world

•Successfully raise a child (it'd be hard enough to have one in the first place, plus I have don't know if I have any interest in a spouse, and I'd probably irreversibly fuck the kid up)

•Have a Wikipedia page

This'll be the more attainable list:

•Be elected to virtually any professional position

•Work for a non-profit organization

•Publish a book

•Take a cross-country road trip alone, preferably to California (I'd like to go to college in the Pacific NW, so this'd be quite a way to get there - I currently live on the East Coast)

•Take a philosophy course

•Buy a fancy suit

•Become fluent in French

•Become fluent in Spanish

•Become at least conversational in German
•See a professional performance of Rent
